ABOUT US

From our old place in Ter Idzard and new place in Goulet is Van der Zwaan Stables successful in The Netherlands and France. France is the major focus for our current horses.

In Goulet,France we have a modern training complex where we give our horses the total training. The complex of Patricia Poupard has multiple stables with boxes, a training track with a 1200M ascending straight line, a horse walker and spacious paddocks where the horses can relax and enjoy after their efforts. 

The basis of our stable consists of three pillars; sport, breeding and advice. Trotting is pure passion. The daily contact with horses, the evolution from foal to racing horse and the progression of the horses we train are a source of inspiration.

Van der Zwaan Stables is a close family business. Wil is responsible for the daily training while his wife Wilma takes care of the grooming part. Son Daan is the manager on the background in The Netherlands. He is our contactperson for drivers and manage even our places to stay during a long trip. 

Successes so far:

• Total of 150 European wins (The Netherlands, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Belgium and France).

• Dutch Derby F 2016 with Fidelity Rhythm

• BreedersCrown 2-Aringar at Jagersro in 2015 with Fidelity Rhythm

• Trotteur Francais Bronze Challenge Finals at Wolvega in 2017

• First French victory at La Capelle in 2016 with Alienor.

• Second French victory at Beaumont-de-Lomagne in 2018 with Fidelity Rhythm.

• Third French victory at Amiens in 2018 with Elitloppet.
